Action is by far on of the most included genres compared to the rest. This genre usually consists of one or more characters going thro ugh a series of challenges that include fighting to resolve issues. They generally have a main villain (acts like a final boss) in every arc that the main character will struggle against the odds to defeat and put into life-threatening situations in the process, these usually end in the main characters victory.
Action genres tend to focus more on fighting which may put the audience off due to lack of story. However, to try and tackle this issue, some series mix in other genres such as Comedy and Adventure to keep the interests of the audience alive.
A good example of action is the series “Bleach”. Published in 2001, the series follows Ichigo Kurosaki who is regular teenager who has a special trait that allows him to see ghosts. This trait soon allows him to meet Rukia Kuchiki, who is a soul reaper (死神, literally meaning “death god”) who’s standard procedure is in to transfer wandering spirits from the world of the living to the Soul Society, a realm of the afterlife, whilst defeating monsters called “Hollows” that can harm both humans and wandering spirits to maintain peace.
One night, however, she gets severely wounded protecting Ichigo from a hollow that she was pursuing. To fight in her stead, Rukia transfers her spirit pressure (soul reaper powers) to Ichigo while she recovers her strength. Now, Ichigo now bears the responsibility of a soul reaper and must protect the peace that Rukia once fought for.[LINK] For a wide range of goods straight from Japan including Anime, Manga and Figures, please follow the link below: [LINK]
